This song always takes me back to my first breakup. It’s 1994, and I’m with my first serious girlfriend. I let the comments of friends weigh on me, letting their voices drown out my own heart.
I didn’t have a real reason to end it –other than believing them over myself. Take a Bow reminds me of that misstep, of listening too much to others instead of my own instincts.
