“Sadeness” – Enigma
It’s 1990, and I’m at the University of Waterloo, taking a music history course that exposes me to every style imaginable. The most mesmerizing of all are Gregorian chants –their haunting melodies and timeless quality captivate me.
So when Sadeness comes out, it immediately takes me back to that period of discovery and learning. The song blends the ancient with the modern, echoing the curiosity and wonder I felt in those classrooms, exploring music’s history and its endless possibilities.
