It’s 1990, and David Lynch releases the surreal drama Twin Peaks. I didn’t watch the show at the time, but I was immediately intrigued by its haunting score. Curious, I looked up the artist and discovered Julee Cruise.
Falling and the album it belongs to became a soundtrack for introspection. Hours were spent in the dark, listening in a dreamlike state, letting the music drift through me. The album wasn’t just sound it was atmosphere, emotion, and a kind of gentle suspension from the world, all wrapped in ethereal melodies.
